Aquarius Pisces, the latest single from Apricot Ink, embraces an acoustic approach, with an emphasis on acoustic guitar and silky vocals. The chorus encloses listeners in a bath of harmonies, making the song irresistibly addictive, much like the feeling of love itself.
Sara (the lead singer) shares that the song draws its inspiration from the astrological signs Aquarius and Pisces, which are known for their incompatibility. It reflects her personal experience of a casual relationship that never quite felt right, despite the absence of obvious red flags. This gut feeling of misalignment, akin to the stars not aligning, became the central theme of the song. The inclusion of Kyanite, a stone believed to enhance intuition symbolizes the disconnect between two people on different paths.
The track is part of Apricot Ink’s upcoming EP, Vibey Barbie, set to release on November 15, 2024. This EP promises to feature a mix of previously released tracks and brand-new material, continuing Apricot Ink’s journey in developing relatable music.
