Singer/songwriter Rosie Darling shares her new single, This Is Me Letting You Go. Its quiet indie pop production provides the right setting for the vulnerable yet introspective lyrics. Darling describes the song as the “first real deep breath after a tough breakup when you can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.”
The song is focused on the artist’s journey of moving through the grief and emotions that come with moving on alone. Rather than dwelling on her ex-partner’s faults or what went wrong, she turns the lens back on herself. When a relationship defines so much of our identity, ending it requires us to find our new self without them. It’s a process of redefining our life and choices independently.
