French upcoming superstar Ariane Gabriel shares her new single, torture methods. It analyzes the emotional pain and manipulation in a toxic relationship. Gabriel describes feeling trapped and overwhelmed, akin to being under house arrest, while trying to maintain her own identity and keep distance from someone who causes her hurt.
The track has a really fun, upbeat vibe that’s totally inspired by old school funk and dance music from the 80s. The production just flows along so easily, with these really colorful synth riffs and melodic bits that make up the foundation of the song. And the vocals really catch the ear – Gabriel’s voice is very prominent in the mix.
