Singer/songwriter Marlene Oak recently dropped her new banger called Burning Flame and let me tell you, this track is absolutely breathtaking! The name of the song and what it’s about goes along with the saying “The hottest fires make the strongest steel” which I think is totally brilliant. It turns out it was inspired by the inner toughness Marlene found during a rough patch in her life. We each have that resilience deep down within us, and she reminds us of it through powerful lyrics.
The production utilizes layered guitar work and a steady backbeat to give the song a strong sonic foundation. However, Oak’s vocals remain the focal point, soaring above the instrumentation with her signature warm tone and emotive delivery. The outcome is a track that straddles the line between pop and rock sensibilities.
