Boston-born, LA-based pop singer-songwriter Rosie Darling releases her new single, Joanna. She reflects on simpler times, like driving home from high school and hanging out with a friend named Joanna. Rosie also recalls the carefree conversations about crushes and the nostalgia of summer days.
The song’s production is dominated by guitars and steady drums. For me, the best part is how that chorus opens up and gets super catchy – it just hooks you right in. And the vocals are on point too, really communicating those lyrics with feeling and passion. It all comes together nicely.
