Georgie Benz is a 23-year-old indie pop/acoustic singer-songwriter from London, England. She releases her new single, curious. It’s led by wonderful guitar melodies that cheer us up during these cold winter days. They literally hit the right snare. The vocals are calm, but do what they have to do, which is to make sure you soak each line in. Also, don’t ignore the drums, because they have this cool punchy tone.
curious explores the messy feelings that go along with unrequited love – the disappointment, longing, and frustration. It’s a tough pill to swallow when you realize the other person doesn’t seem that interested in you. At the end of the day, they’re both a “villain and a savior” – someone you’ll always have mixed feelings about, resenting them but still loving them.
