London-based pop artist Amelie Jat is capping off an unforgettable year with a holiday treat for her fans. Her new EP, Christmas Before Last Christmas, is out now, featuring two tracks: the original Christmas Before and a dance-pop take on the classic Last Christmas.
This sparkling two-track release is Amelie’s way of saying thank you to the dedicated fans who have supported her journey so far. As she looks ahead to an exciting 2024 complete with new music and her first major tour, she wanted to give back to those who have been by her side.
The EP kicks off with Christmas Before, an upbeat, anthemic pop gem made for holiday parties and celebrations. Amelie’s powerful vocals soar over a bed of driving beats and shimmering seasonal sounds as she summons the magic and anticipation of the days leading up to Christmas. It’s an instant modern holiday classic.
Rounding out the EP is Amelie’s unique dance-pop spin on the 80s favorite Last Christmas. She truly injects new energy into the Wham! standard, infusing it with her special combo of distinctive vocals melodies and groovy electronic production. Brilliant stuff, in my opinion.
