Singer/songwriter Tessa Rae is never far from the spotlight. She releases her new single, Heartbreaker. It speaks to the feeling of letting go of someone who was never meant to be a lasting part of your life. The lyrics also elaborate on how difficult it is to forget them and the decision to eliminate reminders of their presence, exemplified by throwing away t-shirts and boxed-up wine.
Heartbreaker has a dreamy pop production coupled with slightly gritty guitar and bass contrasts. I like the vibe of the vocals, because they’re both serious and sassy. The chorus is memorable because of its catchy structure.
