Like many rural regions, the Austrian hinterland can be full of clichés of many different kinds. No wonder the story of singer/songwriter Filiah, who grew up there, reads like one of these.
Filiah recently introduced us to her new single Atlas. It’s about having a love-hate relationship with something or someone. Fillah has also experienced this with songwriting. After a successful debut, she got stuck. Fortunately, she has found her way again and we have a wonderful song like Atlas to discuss.
Atlas features organic instrumentation and a memorable chorus to shout along to. The vocals are well-suited to the overall sound; they straddle the line between being poppy and rock-like. To me, that’s cool.
I must say, Fiiliah shines as brightly as a star here. She should receive a big round of applause. Check out Atlas below!
