The song is about idealizing an older man and falling in love with him until you realize he’s just dating you to feel better about himself.
Old Man clings to a solid edgy pop-rock sound. Analog synths, vintage upright piano, and gritty electric guitars make up the rich musical environment. The vocals do well across the board.
