Montreal-based producer and singer Gen starts the year strong with IT’S TOO LATE. It sounds quite abstract sometimes, but that’s where its beauty lies. You listen to something that doesn’t necessarily have a commercial purpose. The UK-garage drums, ethereal pads, and sparse vocals transcend the field of alt-pop.
IT’S TOO LATE is off Gen’s upcoming 5 track EP MIDNIGHT RAIN out everywhere January 24th. Speaking on the upcoming project Gen reflects, “I’m taking exciting and intuitive risks with this project. New textures, soundscapes and visuals are to come with the world I’m creating.”
Gen continues to amaze, doesn’t she?. And her upcoming EP seems to be destined for acclaim. We’re obviously hyped. So much so that we can’t stop spinning IT’S TOO LATE over and over again in anticipation.
