Canadian singer-songwriter Lucette shares the relatably fatalistic new single Heading for the End. It finds her in a reflective mode, looking at how complex life actually is while refusing to conform to people-pleasing stereotypes. It’s interesting to hear all these thoughts out loud. Lucette shows a willingness to observe and think about the world around her.
I expected Heading For The End to be a bit more dynamic sonically, but the relatively calm sound here is a nice surprise. It opens up a lot of space for Lucette’s vocals, which are absolutely stunning. The chorus feels majestic, as if it were written by Maggie Rogers.
Heading for the End floats between genres and has nothing but highs. Check it out below!
