Amy Gordon hails from Norway. In her new single, marionette, she explores what it feels like to be deeply involved in a power dynamic that you can’t leave behind. It’s like you’re a puppet on strings, going along with these urges and desires even though they’re seriously messing with your life. But you don’t see any other way out, so you just give in to the pull.
marionette‘s production has an air of casual coolness. I enjoy its energizing tones that give you a rush of adrenaline. The vocals are beautiful, floating like velvet diamonds over the deeply textured sound.
