Julia Logan’s new single Thrown Down is available today as part of the extended version of her album Faraway Nearby. The song acknowledges the pain and loss that everyone experiences, but also the strength gained through those hardships. Julia tries really hard to encourage you to keep going for it. And she’s right. Even though sorrow speaks to you from time to time, pay attention to the light instead.
Dreamy guitars and drums take you into a musical oasis where layers dance harmoniously. The vocals are beautiful, and they express themselves with emphatic intensity. The chorus spins like vinyl, containing the right amount of weight.
