School of X follows up on his newly released album Seventh Heaven with the mesmerizing music video for the song Angel, featuring Helena Gao.
Before we get to the visuals, I’d like to discuss the track itself. It has a beautiful guitar layer that immerses you in an acoustic world where you can be who you are. The vocals have a melancholic layer that leaves no emotion untapped.
The music video, directed by Danish visual artist and filmmaker Albert Hildebrand, depicts Rasmus Littauer and Helena Gao embarking on a car ride, which is layered with abstract and grainy visual effects. Albert Hildebrand explains: “I almost always work with small crews and simple set-ups. It allows for experimentation and spontaneous ideas instead of forcing a strict schedule. It’s not just a technical task — it’s also a relational process.”
