Yana Rose is an Indonesian-American indie-pop artist based in Nashville. She releases her new single, Bitter. It’s super personal. Basically, Yana and her best friend tried dating for a while, but when the romantic side of things didn’t work out, he no longer wanted to hang out with her. That’s where the opening line comes from: “Now I’m walking around your downtown wondering why you never came around, thought we left things on a good note, but turns out I hate this song.”
Bitter has catchy pop instrumentals that quickly make you feel at ease. On top of that, the vocals are fantastic. They shine like stars on the red carpet. The chorus is built on catchiness, having a radio-friendly vibe.
