SZÁRA is a versatile and boundary-pushing artist whose journey spans multiple continents and cultures.
Recently, she shared her experimental new single, The Fall. Its lyrics are poetic in their unfolding. Questions about what’s right or wrong bring into focus the ambiguity and subjective nature of morality, especially when contrasted with SZÁRA preference for the night over the day. The night carries with it the opportunity of introspection and self-awareness, where you can connect with your inner self. I love how lines like, “I’ll show you the home that lives within you.”, give that clear meaning.
The Fall sails comfortably between alt-pop and deep-house. While some parts rely heavily on an iconic guitar motif, the strong beats give the chorus its dynamism. You’ll enjoy hearing the variation here. The vocals stay in tune and have a slightly moody layer to them.
Give SZÁRA her flowers for not following other artists, but really sticking to her own vision. Check out The Fall below!
