Jess Meilman, American Songwriter semi-finalist, JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy Winner, and United Master’s priority artist, blends drama, grit, and grace in Back in a Few.
It starts with soft guitar tones that set a soulful tone. After about 20 seconds the beat hits and the sound becomes quite romantic and nostalgic. Evocative strings, catchy guitar riffs, and vintage keys play well with the lyrics’ emotional weight. Pop-driven harmonies reminiscent of Sabrina Carpenter steal the show and are a pleasing addition to the main vocals.
Back in a Few talks about missing that special someone who used to be your lover. Even though things are different now and you’ve grown apart, becoming like strangers, there’s still that spark deep down inside you.
