Persia Holder is an artist who survives on emotions. Be it listening to music or processing her deepest, darkest feelings or reflecting during waves of wistful nostalgia – she really feels it.
Holder releases her new single, Now Or Never. It’s about a boy she was into. The thing is, he’d be super sweet and attentive when they were texting one-on-one, but then when they were out in a group setting, like at a birthday party they both attended, he completely iced her out and ignored her. The song just captures that feeling of frustration when someone acts so differently in private versus public.
Now Or Never has beautiful constructive pop instrumentals that are underpinned by chords and strings. The vocals have a power beyond what you’re used to. I like the chorus for its very honest tone.
