Bubble Tea and Cigarettes is a duo from LA that makes music in their bedroom. They recently dropped Lemongrass City. It has hazy pop production driven by nostalgic, reverb-drenched synths and a funky bassline. You also hear whisper-like vocals that quickly put you in an altered state.
This song talks about longing for someone and having plans to go away together. It’s all described in a very romantic way. Lines such as ”what if we just go all the way until we can see the ocean?” spark interest.
