Winnipeg folk singer-songwriter Rachel Kane returns with a brand new single, Never Said Goodbye, from her upcoming fourth album, Holler at the Wind, produced by her son Beatox.
It has creative instrumentation built on rhythmic guitar plucks and beats. But you can also hear a bass, for example. Anyhow, it all comes together well. You’re not gonna get sidetracked easily. Instead, you’ll stay tuned in to catch all the musical details as they unfold. Rachel really brought her A-game on this one.
About the track, Rachel said: “My hope with Never Said Goodbye is to share some of the things I wish I could have told my father before he passed. As you get older, you look back on life and think about how you could have done things differently or why certain words were left unsaid. This song is my way of making peace with those missed opportunities.”
The lyrics are so vulnerable here, they’ll leave an indelible impression on you. The way Rachel tells everything is just beautiful..beautiful.
I can’t help but be surprised by this song. It really gets under your skin. And that alone makes it so fascinating. Check out Never Said Goodbye below!
