Lefuturewave is a music blog based in the Netherlands. We feature emerging as well as established artists.
Lila Swain is a singer/songwriter/producer based in Byron Bay, Australia who finds inspiration in things that interest her. She recently dropped Little Creatures. It captures the mindset of astronauts as they’re up there in space, looking back down at our planet. You can imagine the sheer awe they must feel, just taking in the sight of Earth from that vantage point. At one level, there’s this strong connection with our home world. But simultaneously, it also drives home how fragile and defenseless Earth really is.
Little Creatures provides a melodious atmosphere with soft piano keys that seem to drift away into the shadows. The vocals are beautiful and full of light. It’s this contrast that gives the whole thing a feeling of necessity.
Lila doesn’t use any gimmicks. It’s all unfiltered, which contributes to Little Creature‘s awesomeness. Check it out below!
