Nashville-based Western pop artist Kat Velasco, originally from South Carolina, discovered her love for music and performing at a young age. She now releases Paper Boy, which talks about what truly matters in relationships. Velasco emphasizes that it doesn’t have to be perfect on paper as long as someone treats you rightly. Someone might have the perfect Ken or Barbie appearance, but if their heart isn’t as beautiful, problems are almost certain to occur.
Paper Boy has cool country pop production with dynamic textures that coincide nicely during the chorus. The vocals have a glow of genuine energy to them, wrapping you in their presence.
