Abbie Redheart, a Derbyshire native now based in London, is an emerging force in alternative pop. She recently dropped Lean on you. The song tells what it feels like to meet someone new after you’ve been hurt. Your head starts spinning with all these cute date ideas and suddenly there’s this renewed buzz of excitement about life.
Lean on you has iconic production. I particularly admire how the verses translate so comfortably into the chorus. The vocals are well-balanced and don’t get lost underneath the instrumentals. They actually have a powerful feel to them.
