Cassidy Taylor is an indie pop artist based in Toronto, Ontario. She drops Afterlove, which tells the story of her ex changing and becoming emotionally distant before leaving her for someone else. Thankfully, she closed the book, knowing she should move forward and be free from the past.
Afterlove has brilliant indie pop production, with smooth electric guitar tones washing over a mellow backbeat. The vocals remind me of those of Gracie Abrams and Holly Humberstone, which explains their superior quality. The chorus hits home right away.
