LACES, the artistic moniker of Jessica Vaughn, returns with Open for Business. She describes it as an outcome of trauma, but shaped by personal development.
In the lyrics, LACES is basically telling you to be true to yourself instead of trying to live up to other people’s expectations. While you won’t find inner peace overnight, you’ll get there eventually.
Open for Business has stellar pop production. I love how it transitions from being moody to being euphoric. It really embodies the narrative. The vocals fill the atmosphere with strength and confidence.
