Toronto-based indie pop singer-songwriter Jenny Palacios releases the playful and angsty new single Took. It critiques the unrealistic standards of appearance and behavior imposed by social platforms, underlining the disconnect between your true self and the persona shaped by external expectations.
Took has cleverly structured instrumentals, in my opinion. I love the way the guitars gain momentum and keep up with the vocals’ energy. The chorus is super catchy, contributing to its legendary status.
