Acclaimed singer-songwriter Charlotte OC debuts her very personal new single, God, We Tried. It was written in the aftermath of her father’s passing, during a period of emotional turbulence when she sought solace in a relationship that ultimately wasn’t meant to last.
Charlotte shares in her own words: “I started to write this song the day after we decided to part ways. God, We Tried reflects the end of that relationship and the emotional complexity of trying to make something work when it really wasn’t right. It’s about love, loss, and the struggle to move forward while still processing deep grief.”
God, We Tried has iconic instrumentals that melt into one another like ice cubes and soda. The vocals are emotive and just reach the very core of your soul. Yes, they sound that good!
