Chicago-based indie pop artist HODJE releases her new single, Delulu Land. In it, she outlines her desire to escape the crushing pressures of reality by retreating into a fantasy world—Delulu Land—where she can romanticize someone who might not be her true soulmate but acts as a temporary respite from her own mental and emotional struggles.
Delulu Land catches the right groove with its funky bassline. A heartwarming and light feeling is provided by the harmonised textures, while the guitar adds a little gritty touch. The vocals carry the lyrics well.
