Inspired by a cross-country journey gone awry, Misery tells the story of Mikayla Menzies’ struggle with a sudden, unexplained illness. What began as a road trip quickly became a battle for both physical and emotional survival.
There’s a delicate balance in the song, between vulnerability and strength, sorrow and resolve. Mikayla truly provides a space to feel heard.
Misery has excellent guitar work and powerful drumming. The vocals sound iconic, delivering lots of personality. Because of this, you’ll be even more emotionally connected to the lyrics.
