Breakups rarely announce themselves gently. Sometimes they come with a slow unraveling, and other times, they arrive like a flash in the sky, sudden, burning, and unavoidable. In her haunting new single Comet, Caroline Meade depicts that latter kind of heartbreak with chilling beauty, using the cosmic metaphor of a celestial body crashing from space to tell the story of a love on the brink of collapse.
Comet has wonderful spacey instrumentals, which truly make the sound groundbreaking. There are many cool musical moments throughout. It’s a pleasure to hear the gritty guitar in the chorus generating momentum, for example. The vocals are heartfelt and shimmer like sunbeams.
Meade makes music that deserves to be supported. Check out Comet below!
