Kirsten Izer shares The Perfect Hire / the liar, a stirring alt-pop confession that dissects the toxic undercurrent of a relationship born in the workplace, where emotional intimacy was built on an imbalanced foundation of power. The track, co-produced by ARIA Award winner Randall Belculfine (Tones And I, Tanerélle), blends dreamy melancholia with razor-sharp honesty.
The track’s sonic palette is amazing. Indie-like guitars shimmer beneath Izer’s haunting vocal performance, imparting a feeling of weightlessness and emotional gravity all at once. There are also some cool atmospheric textures during the second half.
The Perfect Hire / the liar cements Izer’s place in the alt-pop space as a fearless storyteller and singer. Check it out below!
