Singer-songwriter Gus Thompson drops his new single, Lost In Thought, a serious reflection on regret and lost love. As he watches a former partner find solace in someone else, he’s consumed by memories of the damage he caused. With lines like “I can’t forget the countless times I hurt you before,” Thompson expresses deep honesty. It’s a sincere gesture of comfort, even as he acknowledges that no apology can rewrite the past.
The arrangement is beautiful here. At the 1:25 mark, the arrangement swells into a rich, cinematic moment as sweeping harmonies blossom, shifting chords are laid down, and a dynamic sax soars above.
Thompson consistently maintains a high level of artistic excellence. Check out Lost In Thought below!
