Roxanne Byrne is an artist based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, whose music falls under Indie Folk/Alt Country. She recently released the acoustic version of Never Come Back, which also serves as the bookend to her debut EP. It features buttery acoustic guitar work, accompanied by soft piano chords. The vocals stay in tune with the underlying sound by being dreamy.
The lyrics, unchanged, celebrate the gentle power of gentleness and offer defiance against the loud world around us. They’re brilliantly written, in my opinion. Bryne excels at delivering serious messages while not losing focus.
Never Come Back (Acoustic) is supported by a live video in the studio. I’d watch it if I were you, since it’s worth your time.
