Rising singer-songwriter Tamar Berk opens her upcoming album ocd with stay close by. It’s maybe not flashy, but it has an intended purpose. The production sounds soft and spacious, with dreamy tones and simple layering that let the lyrics lead.
The song talks about a hopeful optimism that hasn’t quite panned out yet. “I like the idea that I will keep saying that we’re going to do things…because in a strange way it keeps me hopeful and thinking of the future,” Tamar says. ”Sometimes just saying let’s do this…maybe not today….but at some point… feels like we’re gonna be okay.”
stay close by tells the truth in a way that feels real, patient, and clear. Check it out below!
