Singer-songwriter Katie Boeck releases her new single, Dust. It tells the story of two people in different places, with one looking for real connection, and the other chasing short-term thrills. Boeck recognizes that gap, feels the longing and disappointment, but ultimately accepts it and lets go.
The arrangement of this song impresses. The gentle guitar work feels like it’s being played just for you. Katie’s voice carries the weight of lived experience, which makes her performance super compelling to follow.
The accompanying video, directed by Bella Mazzola, works well. Its ethereal nature doesn’t feel manufactured, but rather like a logical extension of the song’s soul.
