I was the only single person in the room scaring them with my dating horror stories. I’ve always been the nice girl in relationships, never played games. But sometimes, people mistake kindness for weakness. I wanted every listener to picture themselves as the one who didn’t just let that guy walk all over them—someone who took what mattered most to him before walking away because maybe it’s more fun to traumatize these men back anyway.”
