BRIT-nominated songwriter Sarah Blanchard, aka BABY B, recently on the Ivors Academy panel for Best Contemporary Song, opens the doors to the Manchester heartbreak club with her debut single, Because. It talks about falling in love too quickly and the consequences that follow. The lyrics are super relatable, making them impactful.
Sarah eloborates: “Because is a song for anyone who’s ever felt themselves lose control in love, knowing it might not end well but diving in anyway.”
I love the dreamy vibe here. Shimmering guitars, atmospheric layers, and angelic vocals pave the way forward throughout.
