Nevin is a rising Dutch artist. She recently shared Growth Machine. It talks about her getting stuck in a cycle of pushing herself past her limits. Afraid of slowing down and respecting her boundaries, she keeps going and builds emotional walls to keep others out. Each mistake adds another layer to those walls, until it feels like she’s competing to build the tallest fortress, but at the cost of her own well-being.
Growth Machine is impressive in terms of production. I love its hypnotic drums and layered atmospheric textures. The vocals blend nicely into the mix while maintaining their dreaminess.
