Pom Femme is like stepping into a perfumed vintage boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré Honoré. Their debut EP includes, alongside three previously released tracks, the brand-new title track Telenovela. It’s playful and self-aware, poking fun at over-the-top emotions and melodramatic romance. Pon Femme refuses to play the part of the “telenovela” character, instead claiming the role of the real-life lover.
I love the production here. Backed by danceable basslines, sweeping synths and pulsing guitar riffs, the sound glows. The vocals are wonderful, sparkling brightly.
