Brooklyn duo Silver Liz are back, and Through the Trees is basically what would happen if your romantic drama playlist wandered into a dreamscape scored by Jonny Greenwood. What started as an iPhone demo on an unplugged electric guitar somehow grew into a lush, reverb-soaked sonic forest, intimate enough to feel like Carrie and Matthew are strumming just for you, expansive enough to make you wonder if the cosmos itself is eavesdropping.
The track moves cinematically, with each section cutting to a new scene. By the end, it dissolves into a string-laden haze that’s almost too good to be true.
