I’m fan of Sidney’s new single sliding doors, the title track of her forthcoming EP (out February 2026). She transforms heartbreak into an irresistibly boppy, indie-pop anthem that just becomes part of you. Inspired by the movie, the song plays with parallel endings: what if we break up, and what if we don’t?, perfectly capturing the tense feeling of tossing up between two possible futures.
Of the track Sidney shares: “I was still holding onto the belief that if I just pushed hard enough, maybe it could still work. But sometimes, choosing one path is what shows you the truth about what you actually wanted. With its light/dark contrast and undercurrent of emotional unrest, Sliding Doors sonically captures the emotional tug-of-war at the heart of the EP, sitting right at the tipping point between fantasy and clarity.”
sliding doors is emotional, catchy, and just all-around brilliant. For fans of Holly Humberstone, Gracie Abrams, and Lizzy McAlpine, you won’t want to miss this. Honestly, I can’t stop playing it.
