Shadow (Of a Hand) is a striking highlight from Tru Pierone’s debut EP Cousins (out now). The song sounds truly amazing. It starts in a very singer-songwriter space, built around introspection, but then moves through alternative-leaning transitions that shift the tone. At the end, there’s a satisfying theatrical and cinematic finale.
The lyrics have much depth to them. They talk about looking back on a past crush or fleeting romance, feeling both excited and a little fooled by it.
Shadow (Of a Hand) shows Pierone’s power to bring together raw storytelling with ambitious dynamics. Check it out below!
