Julie Miu makes dreamy electropop with an edge. She recently shared her new single, Heat. It celebrates moving into a stronger, more self-aware version of yourself, while recognizing that not everyone will understand or accept you, but that’s okay. The lyrics are empowering for sure.
With a multitude of energetic sections and a memorable hook that takes its cues from K-pop, the song’s sound is sure to blow you away. The vocals feel playful, in the sense that they’re far more dynamic than following a strict pattern.
