If you’ve ever felt stuck in a loop, overwhelmed by noise, unsure of your place, scared that everyone else knows something you don’t, Freya Rose is writing from that same space. She recently shared her new single, It’s Not A Race To The End. It builds with dancing guitars and a driving rhythm section, before culminating in an overlapping final chorus that includes folky instrumental solos. The vocals sound iconic, possessing much presence.
The lyrics make sense, they’re not cliche-ridden. Rose confronts the terror of believing in nothing, all against a backdrop of unending destruction.
