What makes June fascinating in the dance-pop landscape is that she’s doing all of this independently. No major label safety net. No army of Swedish producers (though we love them). Just a Texas girl who has a vision.
Her latest release, Reckless, came out recently. It doesn’t apologize for itself, but barges through the door at full volume and calls for attention. The chorus hits with the kind of reckless abandon the title promises.
June’s vocals are fantastic, delivering just the right amount of energy. She kills each note, so be prepared to be amazed.
