NYC-based band Dasi blurs the lines between genres. Watching you fall is the most recent edition to their catalog of diverse indie rock. What starts as a meditative experience gradually accumulates weight, texture, and energy. Those carnatic percussion elements? There’s more to them than just seasoning; they serve a structural purpose as well. They give the track this propulsive character that Western rock rhythms alone could never achieve.
As you get closer to the final section, you’re not simply listening anymore. You’re in it. Falling, maybe. But falling with style.
