Al suo riposo is the new single by Gaia Banfi, released February 6th, 2026 via Trovarobato (Daniela Pes, Iosonouncane) alongside its companion track In luce. Written, composed, and produced by the singer-songwriter, it follows her breakthrough album La Maccaia, considered by many to be one of the best Italian albums of 2025, and her performances at prestigious European festivals including Trans Musicales in Rennes (where she also recorded a session for KEXP) and ESNS in Groningen.
Al suo riposo talks about slow manifestation of bitterness that remains when you discover something has run its course. It’s an unconventional ballad, with melody and harmony developing in a relaxed, expansive way throughout. With her airy tone at the center, Banfi weaves traditional songwriting with electronic influences.
