But then something happens that you can’t explain away.
Alexandra Skora’s new single, Without a trace, captures this exact moment, describing how it feels to have visions of someone you’ve never met and then lock eyes across a coffee shop in New York and realize: oh. it’s you.
The 21-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer has always drawn from her life to explore the larger questions, like what it means to grow up, but here she goes somewhere even more vulnerable: what happens when the universe answers back?
I love the production of Without a trace. It has nice melodic, organic textures that elevate the sound brilliantly. The vocals are phenomenal, giving the lyrics such a sharp focus.
