different person (same face) is behn’s new single, and it’s the type of song that could only have been written in a locked room with nowhere to hide. Born from a music school assignment he never quite got around to doing the right way, it turned into something far more honest than any book report could have been, a direct, unflinching account of how drinking can split you in two, and what that does to the people closest to you.
The fact that it started as an assignment makes it more interesting, not less. Sometimes the detour is the destination.
different person (same face) has a more subdued production style, but it truly works. The vocals are excellent, hitting all the right notes, which contributes to their appeal.
